🐾 FOUND DOG - STOCKTON, CA (LEGION PARK AREA) 🐾 On the evening of October 9, 2026, a dog was reported lost or abandoned near Legion Park at Walnut St. and San Jose St. in Stockton. Since I live nearby, I went to look for him and found him running in the street. The dog appeared frightened and would not respond to commands. After some time, he voluntarily jumped into the back seat of my SUV, allowing me to secure him safely. I replied to the original Facebook post, but it was removed by the following morning. About the dog: Male Appears to be a Shih Tzu or Shih Tzu mix Not neutered Age unknown Recently groomed Teeth appear to be in good condition and suggest he has been well cared for Coat has a wiry terrier-like texture, which may indicate a mix breed (or he may simply need a good bath) Very sweet and friendly Leash trained Understands basic commands Uses a dog door to go outside to potty Gets along well with other dogs When found, he had an odor and was carrying fleas. He has since been treated for fleas but has not yet been bathed. On October 10, 2026, I took him to PetSmart to be scanned for a microchip. No microchip was found. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep him long-term. Based on his behavior, training, grooming, and overall condition, he appears to have been someone's well-cared-for pet. Has anyone seen any lost dog posts in the past week that might match him? 📍 Found Location: Legion Park area Walnut St. & San Jose St. Stockton, CA A bowl of dog food had reportedly been left near where he was found ✅ Scanned at PetSmart - No microchip found ✅ Notice posted to 209 Lost N Found Stockton Please share to help reunite him with his owner.
