Please also post on "Lost and Found dogs South Africa" Lost and found animals Gauteng and Lost and found dogs Johannesburg. Check all vets and personally go to SPCA . Also put a sign in your gate. So if people find your dog they will remember where U live. Dogs are usually found within a 5km radius of the home. With small dogs it's less. If someone hasn't picked up your dog or is keeping it "safe" at their house, your dog is most probably hiding quite close to home. When looking for their dogs people expect them to be walking along the road or sitting where u can see them but this is not usually the case. They will hide under bushes or in empty properties if scared and lost. Also because they are scared and confused they often don't respond to the owners calls. (which is what we expect them to do) Good luck, don't give up.
