Hi everyone! My friends and I found this sweet guy around 2 AM on Krome, right next to the Tombs gas station. We were told by the cashier that he was dropped off about a month ago and that they’ve been feeding him ever since. We honestly couldn’t believe it because he immediately started following our car and whining. I opened my trunk, and he jumped right in without hesitation. He is extremely sweet, obedient, and clearly a hse dog. He knows how to behave inside and just wants to be around people. Unfortunately, I’m not able to keep him long-term because I already have cats and dogs and don’t have the space for another dog. I’m really hoping we can find his owner or a loving home for him. If anyone recognizes him, knows who he belongs to, or would be interested in adopting/fostering him, please message me! Please share this so we can hopefully get him somewhere safe. 🙏🏼❤️

Did the cashier or someone who works there see him being dropped off? Even so... Still could be that he was stolen and dumped...or of course it's always possible ownersndumped him . Still good to checknfor chip. But also...for rehoming, see if a rescue can help while u foster or help find another foster?

let area shelters know you have…owners usually look there first..insist on proof of ownership (photos/vet records) Thank you for keeping safe! 🙏

Scan for a microchip, post on Nextdoor, neighbors.ring, and 24petconnect. Hang bilingual flyers. Ask for proof of ownership. Notify the county shelter that you have the pet. If there’s a rabies tag on the collar, the county can trace the owner. If you can’t foster him until the owner is found, do you have a trusted neighbor/friend/ relative/coworker who can? By law, an owner has to be given a certain amount of time to claim a pet, you can’t just give him away.

I sad that you cannot keep him. He chose you. Probably dropped and abandoned. Owners need to be punished for leaving them out there.
