To find your cat do the following. Make a poster with your cat’s information on it and use the format that I hade provided in the example. If you are offering a reward then you may attract scammers, so DON’T HAND OVER ANY MONEY UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR CAT ON YOUR POSSESSION. Place the poster into a plastic sheet protector then adhere to fluorescent poster paper and tape to light posts in high foot traffic areas using packing tape. As the weeks go by expand your search into neighbouring communities. Once you locate your cat then you will most likely need a cat trap to secure your cat as it will probably be in survival mode. The TRAP MUST BE CONTINUALLY MONITORED to ensure that you TRAP ONLY YOUR CAT and don’t trap someone else’s pet or wildlife.

Look under everything, sheds, decks, stairs and bushes. Leave his blanket or worn clothing outside and if possible leave a door or a window open. Talk to neighbors, check security cameras, and put up big, bright posters. Call, especially at night with a flashlight to see eyes.

I know this is not ideal, but if you can, leave your door open a little bit and put out your worn clothing and some food. We did this and our cat came home in the middle of the night after missing for 3 days.
