Message from Owner

Hi neighbors, Our cat has been missing since 08/29. His name is challa, he can be friendly or hiss at you if he feels threatened. He has a low pur, high pitch meow, and no collar. If you’re not sure please scan his chip at vet, he is neutered and chipped. We thought we found challa a mile away, but turns out he has an exact twin. When we scanned the chip, we learned he was another cat and are trying to find this cats owner.

Check in bushes and under cars near your home, and on the next street over, especially in the evening with a flashlight, calling out to him and making a familiar sound. Ask neighbors if they might have seen him, and when they last did and which direction he headed if they have. If they have security cameras, video footage would help. Ask them if he might be trapped in their garage or shed. Check websites of your local / county animal shelters for their recent acquired cats. They often have a section you can view their photos and details. It may be good to go there in person as well. I hope he is found🙏🏻

Time is of the essence. Cats don’t go far from home. Don’t wait for social media to bring your cat home, you need to be proactive. Knock on neighbors doors ASAP with a picture asking them to be on the look out or have seen your kitty. Ask if they will check Ring for any sightings. Leave the door/window the kitty exited from open 24/7. If unable, then crack garage door open 24/7 enough to get in. Hang worn clothes and/or your pillow case in a tree or on top of shrubs to create a scent trail. Knock on mmm. Post signs with kitty’s picture as many as possible, include surrounding neighborhoods. Go out late at night with a flashlight, shaking a bag of food, calling kitty’s name, looking under shrubs for their shining eyes. Post on Ring, Nextdoor and check shelters. Don’t give up. 💕

I worry about black cats this time of year. People do horrible things to them! If you have one, please keep it inside.
