My cat escaped the carrier at the vets on a Monday, 2.3 miles away from home. Everyday I drove and walked the area calling her name. On Saturday of the same week she made it home. Look on a map to see a semi straight route from old to new house. You might miss an area of search that does not fall in the directions of kitty’s path, because you are driving on roads and kitty isn’t driving. My cat had a almost straight shot to my house, back roads, fields and homes, but no other barriers. Look for barriers that kitty may have to pass through, such as large fenced off areas. Kitty maybe stuck in that place. Check with local cat rescues between old and new homes. They may have people who take care of feral colonies and kitty could be feeding there. Check with any farms in the areas as well, again kitty could be taking shelter there. Many years ago we moved from a trailer to a stone home and an outside cat got lost. Found her half mile away from the stone home at a trailer a couple of months later. I hope you find kitty.

William Johnson i have 3 barn cats there is always food and water available. I have seen the cat laying around my barn. My neighbor said it goes in his shed too. The only problem is I have 3 male cats 2 are black and one grey. Its hard to tell sometimes who is who. My boys are very friendly and will walk right up to anyone. This cat is a bit stand offish. I have no problem feeding and watering him. We may even be able to set a have a heart trap. The only problem is I will probably keep catching mine...lol.

AnnMarie Vorhauer if You can trap it , he has a chip . please continue to feed and give water. have it checked by your vet, he would be scared of the vet and try and hide .

William Johnson there was a black cat roaming my neighborhood in the last month or so. Iam in Haycock township. I will try to get a pic. It didn't have a collar. I have fed it before.
