This is my entire heart and soul, a maintenance man was here today doing my floors and I took my kids to the library I didn't know he'd be opening the window and it doesn't have a screen it takes a special one and they didn't have any when I moved in. He has never been outside ever, he's neutered, vaxxed, and the sweetest cat in the world. I am devastated, I have walked for hours, yelled his name, shook food etc. My kids will be heartbroken, my other cat won't know what to do if he doesn't come home. He is so so loved and taken care of he's just a curious boy and saw an opportunity he's never had. Please help me bring my baby home. I will never recover if anything happens to him.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope

Check internet for tips for finding your lost cat..OAR Ohio Alleycat Resource website has great tips that really help..the sooner the better..have neighbors check garages and sheds as could be locked in one..good luck finding your furbaby..check with Reeves Recovery and Rescue FB site as they have a thermal drone and have been successful finding lost cats..

Usually inside cats don't go far, about 4 to 7 houses away. They are usually scared so hunker down under anything that gives them cover; bushes, porches, parked cars. Dusk is when they feel comfortable enough to start moving around. Go out around that time & call her/his name softly while shaking her/his favorite treat container. Also put clothing that has your scent on it by an entrance, in a box turned on its side so they can hide in it if they want. Cats can smell a long way off. Praying your girl/boy is home soon.
