If chipped make sure owner contact info is current with chip company. File online lost reports with shelters. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. Check Craigslist lost and found and pets for sale ads. Keep checking shelters online and in person.

Be sure to put on Nextdoor App, Neighborsring App and South Sacramento Lost found pets Facebook Group. If your address is considered Sacramento County make sure you file a lost report with Bradshaw shelter.. Animal control picks up in the county side they will take their. If you're close to the border of the jurisdictions and found in Elk Grove then they will take to City of Elk Grove shelter.Get in yhere every other day,speak to them and show pics.DO NOT rely on calls just cause microchipped Look at websites daily.They can only except a few each day because of overcrowding...BE CONSISTENT going in as long as it takes..

You need to include your phone number in this post so if there's any potential spottings you can go right away or somebody willing for you do you know it's critical to go day or night.Also ALL Owners are aware they need to call the microchip company DOUBLE Check the chip actually got registered you're at fault if you assume and you need to report missing to them Verify they have your number entered correctly, email and address..Have you done this?? Never assume done Big reason many are at the shelters and or owners change numbers and don't tell the chip company......
