Description

Siamese , female after much thought we have become aware that our initial thought of lotus being lost in the Viborg area that there is s possibility that she was hiding in the pick up bed and could have gotten out at any one of our several stops from SD to Kansas City and that she got out the rear slider window of the pick up and when we discovered it leaving Viborg area she may have been in our large load in the pickup bed.

Message from Owner

We believe she squeezed out the rear slider window and was in our things in the bed of the truck and where she got out exactly is unknown. IF she wandered home she would have came towards soiux falls as we live north just outside of sioux Sioux falls and she’s up there in age. Her pal cookie misses her so much she’s been crying almost non stop for her. They are bonded more than i could have thought. Our family is so sad! The paper work I got when I adopted her I noticed recently (after she became missing) states on one page she is altered and another says she is not with several items blacked out. So that makes me wonder if the microchip information is correct and about her being altered. 🚨 Lotus was LOST July 10, 2026 in 290th St, SD 57070 near viborg SD . Here are some tips to help bring your cat back home: Search the neighborhood and ask if you can look in their their yard yourself rather than just ask if they've seen your cat. They might not have noticed if a cat has been hiding under their deck. LOOK IN SMALL SPACES such as basement window wells, under cars, bushes, sheds, under decks, wood piles, drainage pipes etc. ***Please go outside and call for her especially once it is dark and quiet. Call for your cat and wait for a meow back. This is critical in case your cat is trapped somewhere. A live trap rented from the pound may be successful. One tip is to use a baby monitor or other security camera pointed in your yard toward the trap so you can monitor if and when your cat is coming around since it’s often in the dark of night. Check small spaces she could be hiding under or in. A number of local cats were recently found locked in neighbor's garage attics (ask neighbors to check their garages, sheds, window wells, etc), and another cat was recently found in a nearby drainage ditch.** PUT OUT THEIR LITTERBOX. Sounds weird, but it works. It's about smells. Also maybe put out their bedding or your clothing. PUT OUT SMELLY FOOD like sardines, tuna, canned cat food. Some have put it in a garage with the door part way open, or they even left the window open and food near the sill. Also LEAVE YOUR GARAGE DOOR OPEN a foot. Some cats have come home and been found meowing in their garage in the middle of the night! Post on the Next Door website or app as well to let people in your neighborhood know. Additionally, post on Craigslist, and the HelpingLostPets page and also the Pawboost Facebook page. A free flyer can be made on Pawboost and also on HelpingLostPets. And definitely contact authorities. If you have created the free flyer, you can email or leave a printout with them. Please check the pound every couple days.
