Lynn Morra no offense, but this info has helped hundreds of cats find their way home to their owners over the years and has the blessing of many vets that have seen said posts. Its up to the owners in the end how they want to proceed with their search.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Mainly their litter box and sprinkle their used litter around the yard as they'll recognize the smell and it'll deter other animals from coming around. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one and to check their cameras in case they appeared on them to get a sense of direction they could be. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2eCoC63B9I Here's a great YouTube video with helpful advice. If it’s an inside-only cat, chances are that it didn’t go far. Think of every place close by your home where your kitty could be hiding, go out at night with a flashlight calling his or her name, and even if the cat is too scared to come out to you, its eyes will pop right out in a dark space with the flashlight shining into them. Usually, they will hide during the day and come out at night when it's quiet and safe. Leave the door or window they escaped from open and they may sneak back in. When my daughter's dog got lost, we made up 100 flyers with his picture and three of us fanned out and handed out flyers to every home and business within a mile or so radius, as well as tacking them up on poster boards. Within three hours we got a call from someone with a flyer in hand and our pup was back home safely. Everyone with a flyer in hand has your phone number at the ready to call you if they see your lost cat. This works! Be sure to include on the flyer asking folks to check their outbuildings, as lost cats may go into an open door to find a place to hide, then get shut in. Consider setting up a humane trap. These traps can be purchased at local hardware stores or borrowed from animal shelters. If you catch a different animal, simply release it and reset the trap. Make sure you cover the trap with an old towel or blanket so the trapped animal will never be subjected to direct sunlight or rain. Be sure to check the trap frequently and let someone know you have a trap set just in case something happens to you. If you find your kitty, please consider getting a gps tracking collar for your pet, as well as putting an ID tag on his/her collar (PetSmart has machines that make these), and get a microchip in case it gets out again. I just bought four gps collars for my cats, $18 per collar on Amazon, and they work great! My prayers are with you!

Teah Brandt I would remove the litter box. It attracts other animals such as aggressive tom cats and raccoons. Scent items such as dirty laundry is going to be a smell that's only familiar to him and will help calm him. Just be aware that you want scent items in places you are trying to draw him in so keep far away from any roads etc. Depending on how far from home you could cut up a few pieces and make a scent trail home. I also usually recommend keeping your voice as close to home as possible. Go out late in the evening and just hangout by the house talking in a normal calm voice. Try to draw him back that way. If you are out walking all over the place calling it just confuses them more trying to follow your voice. They can also sense the anxiety vs talking normal. If possible try to leave door cracked so he can sneak back in late at night... Echo Hollow, Veneta, Ark & Santa Clara would also be good vets to make aware.
