Description

Myrtle is Still Missing as of 8/25/26! Please let your neighbors in the area know, too. Please check around your open front yards, under bushes, and in corners. Myrtle is a senior female desert tortoise. I have had her since 1991! This is a photo of her in her younger years. Her actual color is lighter now. She is quite heavy and is more like the size of a platter than a plate. She is longer than she is wide.

Message from Owner

She is a part of our family. I believe the gardeners left the gate open while they were working on 6/24/26 as she hasn't been seen since then. If found, please return her to us.

Jean Mallett Tedrow Myrtle is still missing as of October 4th. Reminder, it is illegal to find any pet or property and not make an honest effort to find its owner. It is also illegal to sell a desert tortoise. If you know of, or heard someone say they found a desert tortoise this summer, remind them that her owners are still looking for her.

Jean Mallett Tedrow that is so sad that someone would take a pet away from its family! Praying for her safe return.

Patricia Mendez Someone left the gate open, probably while they stepped away or looked away, and she simply walked out without being noticed. They don't make any noise so it is important for anyone going in or out of our gates to be watchful. Obviously someone didn't notice her near the gate when it was opened. But I am hoping someone will return her to us. She has been a part of this family for 35 years!!
