Message from Owner

Please help me locate my missing dog, Rico. He is a seven year-old male and has been neutered. He’s wearing a purple collar with a red dog bone shaped TAG from Rusty‘s memory rescueMemory Pet Rescue. That TAG has their phone number on it not mine. He also has a new ring doorbell tag with my information, but it may not be working properly because I’m not getting any pings from it so far. He is also microchipped. I just moved into the Richmond Hill /Emma area a couple of months ago and he’s not familiar with it. I’m next to the Armory and Park Disc Golf Course. I’m a divorced 63-year-old man and pretty much depended on him as my only companion and things were very lonely without him. I adopted him from a pet rescue about a year ago when I lived downtown, and I had a fenced yard, but he was such a Houdini and constantly figured out ways to get out without me knowing it, and twice disappeared for almost a week because he’s so friendly he’ll go up to anyone if he’s lost. He usually sleeps right next to me and it’s been difficult, to say the least. I got up this morning and automatically started making his made his food bowl and wondered why he didn’t poke his nose in my face to wake me up as usual, before I remembered he’s not here, now that was the worst moment. I’ve got a close friend and family that just lost someone recently and they’re going through a lot, I’m trying to be there for them, I’ve got a funeral to go to this afternoon and it’s raining all week and it’s just a terrible time to have that little man missing too. It’s something, how someone so small can change everything about your world. Things are not fun right now, but it’s so much worse without him here and I don’t want to have to deal with him being gone permanently. I hope you can take a big load off of my shoulders and find him for me, because I can’t do too much at the moment, having circled the whole neighborhood for hours that night, looking for him with no success. One of the main reasons I moved to this area from downtown was to have a better environment that was safer for him to be outside in without having to worry about cars and traffic and lots of people walking by the hse that he didn’t or strange dogs; it’s just been a perfect location for both of us, and now he’s gone and I’m sitting here alone again. I hadn’t felt that way in a long time. hadn’t felt that way in a long time.

Someone in West Asheville has a black dog and a blonde dog. I don't know if he would have traveled that far and where the blonde dog joined him at. But it's worth checking into. Finders # is 248-914-7881.
