Message from Owner
Back in February 2026, our beloved dog got out and ended up at the Denver Animal Shelter. When we found out where he was, we immediately tried to get him back. Unfortunately, we were told there was a fee we had to pay, and at the time, we simply didn’t have the money. We were told we had until the end of his owner-hold period to come up with the money before he would become . I worked and tried everything I could to save enough to bring him home. My heart was set on getting him back to our family. 💔 Unfortunately, on the very last day of the hold, we went to the shelter with the hope of bringing him home, only to be told that he had already been adopted. We were absolutely devastated. It felt like we lost a member of our family without ever getting the chance to say goodbye. We are not looking to take him away from his new family, and we respect that he has a new home. We would simply love the opportunity to find his new parents and, if they are comfortable with it, get in contact with them. I would love to be able to say one last goodbye and finally begin healing a wound that has been sitting in my heart since that day. ❤️🩹 Most importantly, I would love for my three-year-old to have that chance too. To this day, she still asks about him and wonders where he is. She remembers him, loves him, and doesn’t understand why he never came home. Being able to say goodbye would mean more to us than I could ever put into words. If you know this sweet boy or know the family who adopted him, please reach out. We aren’t asking for anything other than a chance to say goodbye and find a little bit of closure. We will always love him, and we just want to know that he is safe, happy, and loved. 🐾❤️🩹
