Description

Long-haired black and white cat and the gray and black striped cat, both were found right nearby and fighting

Message from Finder

FOUND! This long-haired black and white cat and the gray tiger striped cat were both seeing in my neighbor's yard and they were fighting. Both of them seem to be strays. The long haired black and white one is newly seen just today for the first time. Beautiful cat! Please let me know if this is your cat I'd hate to see him or her fighting with the other cat. They were fighting pretty bad today. The solid black cat is mine. Please contact me especially if you know about this black and white long haired cat who is new here. Beautiful kitty who needs to be reunited with his or her family.

Yes that's why I do try to help them and feed them where I am able to and get some of them fixed if possible. I try to remember there are other good-hearted people like us also putting food out for these kitties.

HappyCatLady Welcome! Yes those of us who are feeding all these stray babies in the neighborhood are gems! They're hungry and need love, so of course we ought to help them.

Giovanna S. Capone yes I read what you wrote and so glad you are a loving caring cat guardian. They are most likely both stray - thank you for being a GOOD human.

HappyCatLady the two cats were fighting did you read what I wrote? I think separately they might be friendly to me but not to each other. And yes, I'm not new to the rodeo here. Been living here for many years feeding strays and trying to find out where they belong because a lot of them are lost. Once I make sure this striped cat is not belonging to anyone I will try to get him fixed but not before because he could be owned by someone nearby. So far no takers and I posted him on Pawboost back in April or May.

Giovanna S. Capone Are they friendly? Talk to the neighbors on your block - i pray you will provide food and water and get help to get them fixed - there are resources to get them fixed for FREE (with an ear tip) there are SO MANY LOST or abandoned cats - thank you for helping them.... I'm doing the same thing here in SAn Francisco - we can make a difference on teh block where we live at the very least. Bless you xoxoxo

Dear author of this post - unfixed cats fight for territory and mating and the fights can be lethal when bite wounds get infected. Likely an unfixed cat - the biggest gift you could give - is to get the cat fixed❤️ 🙏 to prevent endless kittens being born outside to suffer and struggle and to prevent him from getting into horrible fights. Thank you for being part of the solution..so many need our help...we do our best one kitty at a time. ❤️ damia 💖🐱RENT/BORROW A HUMANE TRAP - LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER: OAKLAND --> https://icraeastbay.org/resources/local-resources/spayneuter/ PART 2 HUMANELY TRAPPING ‘SIGHTED’ SHY CAT TRAPPING / LURING YOUR CAT(how to) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SwaCTR1QrhlWg6mhq8roXmJHb6nauLCHB6v38UYCPRM/edit?tab=t.0 💖🐱 please consider humanely trapping kitty . Make the appt first . and get kitty coming to eat regularly then a few nights before surgery feed the cat in front of the trap and partially inside the trap (zip tie the trap door so it stays open - this will make trapping the cat much easier on trap day) - the night before surgery , Line the trap floor with a folded towel since kitty will stay in the trap overnight...set the trap and place the wet food bait in the back of the trap in a small dish that won't break...and wait and watch - cover the trap immedately with a blanket right after kitty gets trapped. to prevent the cat from injuring itself trying to escape the trap. . 💖🐱 When you set the trap, you place stinky fish based wet cat food as bait at the far back center of the trap BEHIND the ‘trip plate’. I would suggest getting the help with someone experienced. OR watch the training videos below. It’s crucial for the cat’s safety. You must monitor the trap at a close distance and/or watch the baby monitor live feed without distractions. 💖🐱NEVER never never never leave an active trap unattended/unmonitored for even 10 seconds. You can cause injury or death to a cat who is trapped and left inside for predators to attack. If you come across any stray cats coming to the food, please find out if kitty belongs to someone else by posting online ‘IS THIS YOUR CAT’ on facebook, nextdoor etc and take the cat to determine if micro-chipped. There are so many lost kitties and you would hope someone would do this for your kitty. 💥💥BEFORE TRAPPING: MUST-WATCH HOW-TO VIDEOS 1. Trapper Tips and Tricks! Please if you recognize this cat-- well both the long-haired black & white cat and also the grey and black striped cat, both of them are lost. I saw them today, but the long-haired black and white kitty is NEW here. Have NOT seen him or her until today. Poor thing got in a bad fight with the striped kitty. I had to run and break it up. If you recognize this cat or the striped one, please reach out to me. I'm on Winthrope St, Oakland. Hope to re-unite this long haired black and white cat especially with his or her family. He's new. The other guy I've seen around. Both lost. The solid black guy is mine. Thank you.
