UPDATE 4: 10/30/26 - Still not home. Please please continue the search. I have had some kind neighbors use their drones, but the brush is so thick you can’t see through it. If she was on a wildlife trail and moving, a drone might work, but no luck so far. I have talked to Babs Fry and she gave me some helpful tips. Bravia is a 100 lb white, chipped and collared (pink, reflective with her name and my number) Maremma. She is friendly and sweet but might be shy when approached by a stranger. My number and her chip number are below. Thanks for the continued leads… I follow up each and every one. UPDATE 3: 10/29/26 - Bravia is still not home. Her chip number isn’t in any Riverside County shelters according to the one in San Jacinto. They have a dog that looks vaguely like her, but Bravia is twice the weight and twice the age of that one. That dog is also not chipped. So no dice there. At this point, I’m thinking she is injured or has been stolen. No sign of vultures or ravens/crows, which would be circling a large animal that had been injured or . I’m thinking someone has her and just hasn’t found me, or that she has been taken/stolen. She is not a wandering breed, so unlikely to have traveled a long way. She would not be on a road, but rather paths or wildlife trails. She can feed herself with rodents and our recent rains have probably pooled somewhere for water. I’m praying she is ok and someone has found her and she will be home soon. Big prayers needed for her safe return. UPDATE 2: 10/28/26 - Lost in La Cresta near Paseo Montana and Via Majorca - pink reflective collar and chipped. Bravia has still not come home and no leads have proven fruitful. I was out looking for her until 2 am and started again at 5:30 am. As a Maremma, she will not typically be on roads, but rather moving on trails or through brush so finding her is difficult. She may be injured and unable to get home. But I am now worried someone may have her and not be able to find me, or that someone has just taken her. Please please share this wherever you use local social media. She is not at AFV or San Jacinto shelters. I have posted about her in multiple places on Facebook and NextDoor, as well as Petco Lost Love. Neighbors and friends are looking UPDATE: 10/27/26 Getting seriously worried now. Perhaps she has been injured. I thought I heard her high pitched “coyote bark” near by last night, but no sign of circling vultures or ravens. She is a lovely dog and I’m hoping she hasn’t been taken. Please please text your neighbors not on this site and ask if they may have seen her. She must be hungry and thirsty, and while she is a fierce fighter of predators, she can’t fight off human ones who pretend to be kind but are keeping her against her will. I’ve posted a lost report with AFV. Praying she will be home soon. Her chip # is 981 020 037 696 481. 10/25/26 Bravia is out… she can handle herself against coyotes, but if someone picks her up thinking she is lost or in danger, she can’t get home on her own. She is collared and chipped, but please text if you see her 🥰 I’m at. Feel free to share on Nextdoor - I don’t use it so wouldn’t know if anyone posted about her there. Thanks!
