Message from Owner

We believe Lucien was stolen from us! We had a tracker on Lucien’s collar that showed a sudden movement from Haslam to Aylesworth and Phillip where I found his collar and no Lucien… This is very unlike him and he is nowhere to be seen. Please keep an eye out for him and any suious activity as we believe it was a moving vehicle that picked him up and ditched his collar elsewhere.

Shared. ASAP notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. Also notify local vet offices, rescues, shelters (e.g. SPCA) and the microchip company if he's chipped. Cats will usually stay near the door they left for a day or two before wandering for food but carefully hide daytime. Leave his used litter and some food and water in hidden places near that door. Carefully check all nearby dark, shaded areas under bushes, shrubs and trees and places where he can shelter from wind, cold/heat and rain. Check under decks, in window wells and dark corners of nearby porches, yards, garages, sheds and stairwells where he could be hiding. Thump the hoods and fenders of parked cars in case he or other small animals are hiding in wheel wells and engine compartments. Ask neighbours to do the same and to check sheds, garages and dark corners around their properties. See Pawboost for more suggestions and sample posters. Post notices in a 5 block radius and include building and construction sites. Put a notice in nearby (5 block radius) neighbours' mailboxes. Post on FB lost and found dogs and cats site and on community and local store notice boards. Walk around a 5 block area AFTER dark and bring food and treats. Stop periodically, semi hide and put the food beside you not in your hand. Softly call, listen carefully but do NOT make any loud noises or sudden moves.
