SPAY AND NEUTER: If kitty isn't fixed …. the biggest gift you could give (aside from providing food and water) is to get kitty fixed❤️ 🙏 to prevent endless kittens being born outside to suffer and struggle and to prevent horrible territorial fights that are often lethal . Thank you for being part of the solution..so many need our help...we do our best one kitty at a time. ❤️ damia LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER: OAKLAND --> https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/services/spay-neuter-assistance/ For Oakland Feral cats: https://www.oaklandanimalservices.org/resources/cat-resources/feral-cats/

Once your trap kitty Please consider Fostering - if not you, then who? FOSTERING FOUND KITTY - Creating a Safe Haven I have over 10 indoor cats and I always bring a new stray cat into my bathroom where it’s safe and contained - and it does NOT interfere with my resident cats in any way: 😻When you rescue a cat from the street, you are often their last hope for survival. Because many cats brought to shelters never leave, fostering them in your home is the greatest gift you can give while searching for their guardian or a new forever home. 😻The Bathroom: The Perfect Starting Point Don’t worry if your bathroom is tiny; cats actually prefer small, contained spaces when they are overwhelmed by a new environment. Keeping kitty in the bathroom ensures they are safe, easy to monitor, and away from the stresses of the rest of the house. 😻Setting Up the "Bedroom" Inside the bathroom, provide a litter box, food, and water. For their bed, a covered hard carrier is the most ideal setup. 😻The Setup: Place a soft blanket inside the carrier and drape another blanket over the top, leaving only the front opening clear. 😻The Strategy: By making the carrier the only "hiding spot" in the room, the cat will learn to view it as their safe zone. This makes it much easier to transport them to the vet for a microchip scan or to their new home later on—they’ll already be comfortable inside! 😻Acclimation and Trust: I always keep new rescues in the bathroom for at least a few weeks until they are fully acclimated and ready to explore. Even spending just 30 minutes a day with them makes a world of difference. It helps them feel safe, allows you to get to know their personality, and ensures they are ready for the next chapter of their life. 😻 Thank you for opening your heart and home to a cat in need. You are changing a life that someone else may have failed. ❤️.❤️

Thank you for helping this sweet cat. 💖🐱Are you sure you need to trap? Seems friendly - you do NOT have to pick up a cat to get into a carrier - I made this video showing how to get a cat into a carrier - backwards it's a game changer when I'm meeting and rescuing a new cat off the street: https://youtu.be/7hk-Mq9nw6U If kitty is too shy ...then you can plan to trap at sunset (if that's the time kitty is coming to eat). Line the floor of the trap with a folded towel or pillow case or newspaper - be sure it does not interfere with the trap door closing and locking - TEST IT. Place 3 dry treats in the front of the trap to entice kitty and to give you a few seconds to act if another cat or animal comes - don't yell or scare at another cat - place a bowl of food out for that cat to eat then pick up the dish and go back to watching the trap. if it's a raccoons THEN i recommned a water bottle to squirt the raccoon to leave and not come back - it might take 3 times to get the raccoon to leave for the night. You must watch the trap every second once it is set to prevent trapping another animal and to make sure you cover the trap with a blanket within seconds after trapping the target cat - to calm them down and prevent self injury trying to escape. 💖🐱 💥💥BEFORE TRAPPING: MUST-WATCH HOW-TO VIDEO Trapper Tips and Tricks!
