If Melney is an indoor cat that got out, she will most likely be very close to home. Search all nearby plant life, including looking up in trees, under cars, in sheds/garages, and anywhere a cat could possibly hunker down. If not found during the day, take a flashlight out after dark and search the same areas, shining it into the plants, etc. Put out a dirty piece of clothing from Melney's favorite person where you can see it, or in a garage with the door open just enough for Melney to slip in. Prayers you are reunited with Melney soon.
