Description

Tuxedo cat, black on top with white under chin and on chest and 4 white paws (mittens not socks). White whiskers. Had a healing cut on right cheek (when looking at her your left). When she disappeared she had a balding ring on neck (under some fur) from being so good at wearing her collar so I had taken off and she snuck out without it on.

Message from Owner

Jasmine is a very talkative small sweet senior cat. She was raised In and out of doors. As a senior cat she chooses to mostly stay inside. She does not know Santa Cruz that well as she grew up in Southern California. For the last couple of years in Santa Cruz she only liked to go out nearby and sit under the neighbor’s vehicle and feel the air. Mostly in the evening hours. That is where I last saw her, about 20 feet from my door at 10:30pm on June 14th. The neighbors didn’t mind as they also have cats. Jasmine grew up around other cats and around a dog: She knows her name very well. She also goes by Jazzy or Yasmina or mitten kitten. she will meow at you if you meow at her nicely and with interest.. Though a senior cat she had been receiving arthritis , and as of three weeks before she disappeared was still hunting and catching mice. She has a thyroid condition which was stable when she disappeared. She takes thyroid pills. I have had her since she was a kitten. I miss her very much. She is an amazing companion. She is very neat for a cat. I suspect that is because I am very neat. She has been with me through my father‘s stroke and my friend’s stroke and my mother‘s death and I am quite quite the loss without her. I graduated UCSC and had to move. I will come back for her within a day if she is found. All of my former neighbors are keeping an eye out for her. I have friends in Santa Cruz that will watch her and know her please if you have any information let me know.

Sometimes she looses her eyebrow whiskers naturally but when she has them she has one over each eye and they are white like her other whiskers.

Arthur Gardiner yes. They are more mittens than socks. All 4 paws are white and are basically identical.

Laura Oliver thank you. I had to move but I did put posters up and I left some with friends and will ask them to put more up this week. I’m so happy to hear you got yours back! That’s a hope of mine that someone might have taken her in. I did have a cat years ago come home over a month later. I just worry I’m not there if is she comes back. The new tenant where I rented has promised to keep an eye out and all the direct neighbors have my info. And I have friends who lived next to me who will keep her until I can drive back and get her if found, which of course I will do immediately. I left her favorite food and litter box and things with them just in case.

Mary Andorka she’s beautiful I will keep a photo and keep an eye out when I’m over there. Put up posters all around the neighborhood. Mine was returned after weeks, a neighbor up the road had taken him in. 🙏🏼🧡
