She’s an indoor cat who has never been outside but the back door was left open. She is missing her collar which was recently broken. On the smaller side. Usually friendly and interested in food.

Sardines. Our cat was missing for two days. He came back immediately when I put them out, and he doesn't even like fish. Your cat is close! Good luck.

Thank you everyone! We have signed posted around the neighborhood, have looked around at dawn, put tuna and her little box out, and a cat carrier with some of our used clothes. Hopefully she finds her way home and thank you for keeping an eye out and spreading the word!

You’re probably getting a lot of advice, but I hope some or all of these tips help you bring your baby home quickly. Most importantly, don’t just wait for your cat to show up, even if they’ve escaped before and come home on their own. Be very active in your efforts: put up flyers, knock on neighbors’ doors, and go out at night with a flashlight to search. Leave food close to the entrance of your house or apartment to encourage your cat to stay nearby rather than wandering farther away looking for resources. If you’re unsure whether your cat is still close by, I highly recommend setting up an outdoor camera and pointing it toward the food. It’s a great way to find out if your cat is coming back when no one is around. It doesn’t have to be an expensive Ring camera or require a subscription. I have an indoor/outdoor Wyze camera that I bought on Amazon for less than $40. I did have to purchase an outdoor power cable separately, but it was inexpensive. I have the camera set to alert me whenever it detects movement, so a notification immediately pops up on my phone. If it’s safe and possible, leave a door or window to the house, apartment, or garage cracked open. Cats will sometimes quietly wander back up and simply walk inside, especially when things are calm and quiet. I really hope your baby is home safe very soon. ❤️
