Winnie is approximately 3 years old and on the smaller side. She is mostly white with patches of orange and grey (distinctive grey patch between her eyes and covering her nose). She is very timid and skittish - she is not wearing a collar.

Message from Owner

I am housesitting for my daughter and Winnie escaped on early Saturday morning (August 22). She is a very sweet but timid, as she is exclusively an indoor cat. I saw her in the neighbour's yard a little after she had escaped, but she got spooked and I haven't seen her since. I let the people living there know but they haven't seen her either. I walk the neighbourhood every morning and evening, when it's quieter out, calling her name. I have tried putting out tins of wet food, clothing with my daughter's scent, and shaking treats but no luck. I am so very heartbroken and worried for her, she is not streetwise at all and has no survival skills. I think (hope) she is hiding close to home but is too scared to venture out. I am losing my mind trying to get her back safely. If anyone in the vicinity could please check under their decks, vehicles, in tall grass, bushes, sheds, and garages to increase the odds of finding her.

Put some of your dirty laundry outside. The smell will travel for miles and hopefully guide them back home on their own💖

Indoor cats are very scared and hide under something until midnight or later, when it is much quieter. Look under everything, decks, sheds, stairs and bushes. Leave her blanket or worn clothing outside, and if possible leave a door or a window open. Check security cameras and put up big, bright posters. Call, especially at night with a flashlight to see eyes.
