Peach is Missing in Columbia County, GA

Description

Cream/white Shih Tzu

Message from Owner

My grandmother decided to give our co owned dog away to one of her family members and she’s refusing to return Peach. The authorities told me that I cannot legally get her back until a vet scans her chip and calls Homeagain. Around 3 weeks ago, my grandmother wrote the woman’s daughter a check to take Peach to the vet. The vet office did NOT scan her chip. Please look out for Peach in your offices!! Please scan these dogs for chips! Because not everyone is telling the truth with their ownership. I can provide names of the people Peach may be listed under for their accounts so the accounts can be marked approximately for future visits to make sure the chip is scanned. I can only get her back if she’s scanned! The microchip is in my name! I have vet records too showing she was co owned with ME! She’s still my dog too! I am absolutely appalled at the behavior of the people that won’t return her. I am also disappointed with the vet office for not doing their due diligence with microchip scans. Her current location is in Grovetown, GA. If you see her loose, please contact animal control so I can try to get my girl back. Peach is friendly and loves everyone. I rehabilitated her from a malnourished and abused state. My grandmother knew to give her back to me when the time came she couldn’t care for her any longer and chose to hurt me instead. I just miss Peach and my kids are probably hurt worse than I am based on my grandmother’s actions. Please help us get her home.
