Marla Hillis Powell Since he is an indoor kitty he will be real close to home, usually a few houses away. Alert all your neighbors and ask them to check their security cameras if they have them. Be sure to contact your chip company and let them know he’s missing and update your info if needed. Make a lost report with the county shelter. Put his bed, blanket and some of your recently worn clothing outside. Get big bright signs up asap starting with one in your front yard. If you can crack your garage door and screen porch door if you have one. Go out late at night and early am with a flashlight and smelly food. Look everywhere especially under things and in bushes. Call his name softly and listen for him to answer. I will be praying you get your handsome boy home safe today 🙏

Mary Kolp Caldwell Sure looked close. The dark thicker stripes on the legs were my only hold out, could not be sure.

Kevin Maclary It is strongly recommended to not put a litterbox or litter outside as that will attract dominate cats and predators(we have coyotes & bobcats here) which will keep your cat away and can put it in danger. Safe to only put items with your scent them - towels, tshirts or socks. Never litter or litterbox!

You can purchase a trap from Tractor Supply or Home Depot or Amazon or see if you can borrow or rent one from a local rescue or TNR group. Put a piece of your clothing with your scent on it inside and some wet food and set the trap and cover it with a towel (they feel more secure hidden) and monitor it.🙏❣️ remember kitties are naturally nocturnal, so they will hide during the day and move at night time looking for a food source or trying to get home. This is when most of us are sleeping. That's why the trap is ideal. Monitor the trap. If you catch a critter go ahead and release it and wash the trap and reset. They leave a smell behind which may deter your baby from going in. If you catch another kitty, you can always take it to a local vet or shelter for a free chip check and you might be able to help return someone else's missing baby home.♥️ also get a big sign in the front yard so in case someone does have or sees this baby and does not see this post, they can contact the owner that way. Also get lots of signs posted in the neighborhood. Keep checking on your local county FB group pages. You can search the group by "cat" to see all the cat posts only💗
