My Smokey Bear is semiferal --i've been the only human she's known and trusted (having raised her and her tawny tabby brother, Sophēclēs, from the time they were in their feral mama's womb)-- and is really skittish around other humans & animals (except her brother, Sophē-boy), having been terrorized by big dogs which their master turned loose to chase them, when they were young & living outdoors, before i could rescue them-- she and her brother were both living with me as my ESAs (with a doctor's support letter) when my brother evicted me (to fix up my mom's hse for sale --to do it himself, instead of allowing me to)... 😓 neither of them, having become adapted to a home life, were comfortable staying in my car 24/7-- they were used to getting out in the yard every other day for exercise, grass, and fresh air; so, when i started parking the car at Hoffmantown Park, they (both) decided that looked like a good place to get out and exercise-- Smokey snuck out without my seeing her (about 3 nights before Sophie did, also, while i had the door open for cleaning their litter box)... 😥 though i had tried calling them, putting food out for them, and asking about them around the place they got out (for the first month), i had only one report of a sighting, and was threatened by one of the homeowners in the area; and, after hearing that my boy hadn't shown up when i didn't come to put food out for a week, i stopped calling and looking for them there-- and started checking with the Eastside Animal Welfare Shelter, instead, just in case...! 😢 Please notify me (by phone/text, preferably, or by email) if you think maybe you've seen her (or him-- he also has a clipped left ear, from being TNR'd while living on the streets with his sister, before i could get them housed): my number is, and my name is Paul Alan.
