✅ The TOP place people post when they FIND a pet is: Nextdoor. ✅ 2nd place: Neighbors by ring / Ring. ✅ 3rd: Facebook groups for that subdivision or city. (Not Lost Pet groups, Not Lost Pet websites) ✅ Owners need to post on both apps immediately. Then look to see if someone posted their pet.

Contact a dog tracker asap. Post flyers within a 3 mile radius and include contact information. Not everyone is on social media. If possible contact a dog tracker. Put out some smelly clothing or bedding for scent. Grill some bacon outside or inside and open the windows. Notify local shelter and police and file a Lost Report. Check with shelters daily. Don’t just call, go there. They are probably so busy and not able to check for you. Do not respond to anyone who texts you asking for a code. Likewise, do not contact anyone who asks that you reach out via Instagram, WhatsApp. They are scams.
