Description

Sweet Pea is a soft, fluffy tabby cat who many say resembles a mini bobcat. Her coloring tends to be on the more gray side and she has beautiful little tufts of fur coming out of her ears. She's sweet and knows her name.

Message from Owner

I am deeply devastated by this whole situation. She was home Sunday morning and ate breakfast like normal. She likes to hang out on the front porch in the morning and comes in to snuggle with me or the kids during the day. I've had her for 8 years and she's my baby. She usually always lays in bed with me snuggled up to my neck and I hold her like a stuffed animal. I am beyond scared and heartbroken. Please, if anyone has her, maybe thinking she was abandoned or lost, she isn't. She has a loving family who would do anything to get her home safely! Please PLEASE help me find my baby!!

Devon O'dell Moore I know how you feel. I once had a cat who was missing for a month. As my son and I were getting in the car one day, he looked up and saw Crackers coming across the field. He was scrawny, but otherwise okay! We have no idea where he had been all that time. I truly hope you find your Sweet Pea and change her status to "indoor cat".

Devon O'dell Moore you might also walk around to your neighbors, show a pic, to make sure nobody took her in…

Debbie Wood She is spayed. I've talked to all our neighbors, walked the area, searched anywhere she may have been trapped, looked up in the trees, left food outside for her..... nothing yet. It's not like her to be afraid and hiding. So I am afraid someone may have taken her or she was attacked by a coyote or bobcat. I've seen them in the neighborhood recently.

Devon O'dell Moore it isn't that animal control wouldn't be truthful, but most shelters are overflowing. The only thing they may be able to tell you with any accuracy is whether they have taken any cats in since the 13th. She most likely is nearby, possibly scared and hiding. Is she spayed? If she's not, look anywhere there are other cats.

Debbie Wood Thank you for all that! I've done a great deal of those already. I am now working on making missing posters. I've posted to every online site I could. I am going to go to animal control today. I didn't realize I should go in person and trusted that when I called, they were being truthful. I can't think of where else someone would take a missing cat in Rockmart besides animal control.

Devon O'dell Moore have you been checking animal control/shelters? Important to check IN PERSON rather than calling. *Also, take a flashlight and look anywhere she could hide - under houses, porches, steps and any OUTBUILDINGS and SHEDS she could have gotten closed up in. The flashlight will reflect her eyes. In this extreme heat, if she was injured or unwell, she would look for cool shady places. *Check near sources of water *Look UP trees in case something chased her *As Angie said, put BRIGHTLY COLORED signs out with her picture and your contact info on them. Not everyone is on social media and the signs will be visible to kids, neighbors and delivery people *Be sure to check other Lost/Found sites and Nextdoor. Some people will post on one and not others *Is she spayed and/or microchipped? Wearing a collar? *Check with local vets in case she was brought in with an injury or to be scanned for a chip *Check any wooded areas where she might have gotten tangled up in brush I hope you find her soon! 🙏🏻

Angie Robinson Yancey We've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find her. I'm worried she was stolen or hurt somehow. She has a litter box outside and we keep the garage cracked for her to come back inside. I'm genuinely afraid she was picked up by someone thinking she was lost/abandoned even though she wasn't.

SHe’s prob hiding close by. Go out when it’s dark and quiet and call her, pause and listen, she may answer you back. Might make some big, bright signs with her pic and your number, in case someone finds her who’s not on social media. Might also put a small blanket or article of clothing with your scent on it near the door. If possible, leave an entryway cracked, in case kitty returns while you’re asleep…
