This baby most likely did not go far based on his/her size. Go door to door, check under decks, in garages, in sheds, under cars, etc. If there is water nearby, check it. Make sure you post on: nextdoor, ring doorbell, lost and found pets, pawboost, petcolove, petfbi, any state, city, and county sites. Let the police, vets, and animal shelters know your dog is missing. If your dog is chipped, let the chip company know also. Put some hot smelly food out on your porch like: hotdogs, smoky links, rotisserie chicken, or canned chicken. I put it on a tortilla if you have one.THEY CAN SMELL A MILE AWAY! Get liquid smoke(comes where the Bar-B-Q sauce is in the store), add to a squirt bottle with water, and spray in the trees near your house. Make a juice with chicken broth+Bar-B-Q sauce. Boil it on the stove. Add chili powder or another stinky spice. Make sure it's boiling hot and drizzle it on the lawn up to the porch. You can also spray some of this in place of liquid smoke Also, put something with your scent on it (pillowcase or shirt work great) on the porch too. If you don't have a camera on your porch, take a bag of flour. Make a ring around the food a couple inches out. Mound it all the way around like ant hills. That way You can tell what's eating the food, whether it's a dog or a raccoon or cat, etc. If you have another dog, take it out for a walk and let it lead you.It may be able to pick the missing dog's scent up. Dogs normally come home within 24-48 hours. If yours does not, YOUR Next Step needs to be getting flyers up! There's a free site where you can make free colorful flyers called postermywall.com •DO NOT CALL YOUR DOG WHEN LOOKING FOR THEM. IT WILL MAKE THEM RUN! •Check cemeteries, schools, golf courses, parks, and cul-de-sacs. Dogs like these because they are quiet. •Make sure that you don't post sightings on social media. You don't want well-meaning people running out to help as he/she will be scared and may run, which could put them in danger. • Posting a reward can also bring out people who only want the money and if they chase the dog, it could also end up running out of fear and into danger. •Do not go to where he/she was seen and call out for him/her as that could scare them and push them out of the area or into danger! You want him/her to settle down and stay in one area so he/she can be trapped, if necessary. Instead take some stinky food and place in a safe place, if you have a camera put it in front the food - to see if he/she comes to eat it. ** If you (THE OWNER) see your dog, do not call out to them or make eye contact- Sit on the ground. Always have some stinky food with you(Hot dogs, rotisserie chicken, or a small bag of Cheetos), to help lure them to you. Do not say anything or make quick moves. Your dog needs to see you, hear you, and smell you - before he/she can process who you are and come to you!!! Once they approach, quietly say a phrase they would be familiar with. If they walk away, stay put for a few minutes. They may be trying to get your scent. If they leave DO NOT CHASE them. If someone calls and says they have your dog, ask them to take a picture. If they say they saw your dog, ask them a trick question like, " oh, does he still have his orange collar on?" If you feel it's legit, ask " what were they doing- running, walking, etc. And which direction did they go in

🚨Please follow these tips immediately suggested by professionals. They have been successful for others. LOST CAT TIPS Your Missing Cat will try to re-enter the home when the neighborhood is quiet. If it all possible, leave the door ajar that the kitty escaped from and secure other companion animals to a separate room of the home. He/she will try to re-enter when the neighborhood is quiet in the evening and overnight hours. Make sure you physically check underneath and in the engine compartment of your vehicles prior to starting in the morning. Cats typically don't go very far, and are hiding, so you'll have to search for them. Put clothing/bedding that smell like him/her and his/her family outside the home immediately. Along with some smelly food such as tuna,. sardines,. mackerel fish in front of camera if you have one. The usually will follow the scent home. If you have a garage, leave the door open enough for him/her to get in. If you live in a mobile home community look under yours and your neighbor's homes. Check around your home: bushes, up in trees, deck, porch etc. If their head fits their body will too! Door-knock neighbors and ask them to check outbuildings, sheds, garages and ring cam footage. Use a flashlight to look under cars, bushes and up in trees for the glow of the kitties eyes. Go out periodically through out the night shaking his/her treats or opening a can of wet food and call to him/her. Listen for any responses and watch for movement and/or eyes peering out. Renting/borrowing/buying a live trap and setting within the first 24 hours your cat has been missing is a good idea. Live traps need to be monitored frequently. Be prepared to release wildlife. You can purchase a live trap at tractor supply store. Use sardines, mackerel fish or tuna in the trap, they will not go in a trap for cat food. The only food they should have access to is what's in the trap or they will not go in. Post on Nextdoor app and any other neighborhood groups on Facebook. Ask neighbors to check security camera footage for sightings of him and to call you ASAP. Post on For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers* Also post on pawboost online for lost and found pets. Posting neon posters in your neighborhood is very important to the recovery of your lost pet. Also give a flyer to the mailman. You can use neon poster board from the dollar store. Write missing cat, a description of your cat and phone number with a marker.
