Indie has been missing since 10/24, she is a very friendly cat. Indoor/outdoor. She usually comes in and out and responds to my calls. A neighbor said she thinks she saw someone take her. Please let me know if you’ve seen her around.

Please file a missing cat report with the Norfolk Animal Care Center. If the cat is chipped, please make sure the registry has your current contact information. Check the shelter several times a week. Tonight after 10 PM go out in your yard with a bag of kitty treats and a flashlight. Walk around your yard calling your cats name softly and shaking the kitty treats bag. Use the flashlight to look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Cats rarely stray more than 5 to 7 houses from their home. Print flyers with your cats picture and your contact information and take around to your neighbors, ask them to call you if they see your cat. Also ask them if they have been in their shed out building a garage since your cat went missing. Cats go in those places to hide and feel safe and then they get locked in and cannot get out. You cannot hear a cat crying to get out of a structure unless you’re standing right next to it Look under porches, decks, and any structure with an open crawlspace. It’s possible that someone in your neighborhood thought your cat was a stray and took it into be an indoor cat. They can’t get out unless they escape and come back home. Cats have been gone for days weeks months and even years so don’t lose hope. Taking the flyers around can help you find your cat.
