Message from Owner

Josie is 8 years old , normally an indoor cat, she was bug hunting and probably didn't know how to get back . She is very skittish and will choose to hide during the day. Josie is a very loving cat who is probably terrified. We've hung flyers, posted on social media , and pounded the pavement every night since she went missing She is chipped and the info is current.

Sean Mcgill I'm so sorry please keep your other two inside I would lose my mind if one of ours got out! Check with your neighbors to see if they have seen her and look under everything outside.

Tina Mangrum normally we do . Josie has always been an indoor cat, she afraid of her own shadow. When flying insects come in the house, she looses her mind and hunts them down. When the sun goes down and things cool off, we open the screen door so our other two ( indoor/ outdoor) cats can come and go, until we are ready for bed. Josie , who had never before expressed any interest in going outside, was starting to brave the porch, but never leaving it. This time, she did. She's chipped and spade, so hopefully what others are saying holds true and she just hidden near the house...but, it's been as of today, it's been 12 days.

I hope your baby is found soon and okay, but please we as cat owners must keep our babies inside for their safety and our peace of mind.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. Here are some tips that helped me find my little guy when he got out. My kitty got out in the middle of winter for 11 days. I put flyers out everywhere and some very nice friends of a friend of mine saw my flyers and said he was living under their outside stairs. Flyers work. Also I was told to go out at night when it's quiet and call your kitty calmly. They are scared when outside even if it's your voice they hear so shouting or calling loudly isn't recommended. Also using a flashlight while looking in garages and bushes helps. Cats eyes glow when a light beams on them. Shaking treat bags can help too. Don't do a litterbox that can attract dangerous animals that could hurt Kitty. You can do a piece of dirty laundry of yours that they can be attached too. One more thing also is to get a humane trap from a local shelter and put the smelliest food inside. Believe it or not KFC chicken has helped attract cats more than any food lol. Also cameras can help also to see if your baby comes around when you're not home. I wish you the best of luck and hope. 💜💜💜💜🍀

I I Cats do not go far from where they get lost. He is probably terrified and hiding under a bush, shed or under a house. Go out frequently esp at night with a flashlight and search. Keep looking at same places calling softly. Alert neighbors, mailmen, dogwalkers. Borrow or rent a humane trap and cover with a piece of your clothing. Put in smelly food such as tuna or sardines. Check frequently. Don’t give up. It may take some time. Good luck. Beautiful kitty Many signs everywhere as not everyone is on fb.
