Message from Owner

Nero is our lovable indoor cat who's 3 years old, he escaped out of our window Sunday Oct 11 around 2pm after seeing another neighborhood cat, we've searched the area all day and night for days now but no luck, however he was spotted in the surrounding neighborhood hiding in a bush last night, and was reported to us, but he got spooked and ran away so the hunt continues!

Janet Cox We try to leave open as late as possible and open as early as possible! But door is on kind of busy road so can't leave it open all night unfortunately! We put his bed and all his stuff so out front so hoping that helps a bit

Thanks everyone! The hunt has been non stop for 3 days, someone did contact Me saying he was spotted near our house so that's decently good news at least!

Likely hiding close by or up a tree within 5 or 6 houses away. Ask neighbours to check sheds, garages and under decks and bushes. Go out with flashlight when quiet and dark. Get posters up asap using zip lock bags. Leave soiled article of your clothing outside to draw home. Leave door open a few inches and kitty may walk inside typically between 2 and 4 am. Motion lights and security cameras are really helpful. Make sure your microchip information is up to date or it will be useless. Good luck!

*Keep trying what's listed....All the best in your beautiful cat's return,~💜💜 **Cats that get outside, they tend to panic & hide, usually close to home. When it's dark out, go outside with a flashlight or headlamp & look under every bush, vehicles anything they might go to for safety around your home. Watch for their Eyes to light up with the beam of the flashlight. Let neighbors know, they sometimes will get locked in an open shed & Put posters up. Leave out some bedding/clothing of theirs & yours, but NOT the litter box. However some folks have set the litter box out with success - this is up to you. Going out with a bag of treats OR whatever your cat loves to eat... calling their name. IF at all possible to leave a window or door open, when it's quiet many have come back. Continue looking & calling. The cat is scared & hiding & may have been chased. REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT! Consider building a CATIO - for THEIR safety. https://thefurbearers.com/.../catio-season-why-cat.../

Can you leave the window or door open all night? Have it quiet and dark. Indoor kitties usually come back in the middle of the night. No litter outside.
