Emily Hart in the last few years there have been so many cats that are left behind. Every time I see a moving van I cringe. There have been as many as 15 at times. There were two last year that had kittens on our porch. Animal protective in Schenectady took all the kittens but had no takers for the moms. They are now spade and have been with us for over a year. We also took in a male who was dumped. We can’t take any more as our Frenchies are threatening to move! These year two sets of kittens were born in March and in May Kitten Angels came and got them. They are usually so overwhelmed but we’re able to help this year.

Maybe try bringing the bird feeder in for a day or two to deter the cat. Definitely looks like my neighbors outdoor cat.

I think that is my neighbors cat! I only see it once in a while. I think it will only go inside in winter time. If the weather is decent it free roams. Sometimes I wont see it for weeks at a time… haven’t seen it recently

Emily Hart MHHS and APF will put on stray list before trying to get him or her adopted, only thing is APF will not take in a trap. Have them checked for a microchip if you can. People need to start getting arrested for abandoning if that's the case with this kitty, it's against the law to do that.

Emily Hart Have you put food and water out for him? Sometimes they're abandoned or accidently got out and are afraid of strangers. If he stops everyday is he looking for food and water possibly, he may be in need of some and maybe someone can trap if he or she keeps coming. If you can get a close up of the face, I've seen a lot of post about missing Tuxedo cats.

So sad. Guessing abandoned kitty. If he comes back and you can grab him please reach out. Best option is to try to feed every day at the same time. Scared cats (especially ones who had a home and don’t know how to survive outside) take a bit to trust. 😿

Karen Tenney I can check around that area and see if that's the same cat,no pet should be left behind but if that's the same cat I can try to get him/her and bring to humane society,unfortunately I can't have anymore pets

Jan Shannon my husband was able to get within a few feet before the can ran off. I don't know if the cat has owners but cats don't usually go in my backyard and this one comes around in the morning last couple of weeks when the birds are eating

Susan Miller i haven't been able to get close, my husband was able to get within a few feet but ran. But I don't know if cat is owned it's just new to being in my backyard
