Put something outside with both of your scent on it dirty shoes, dirty socks, and dirty laundry a cat bed check ring cameras of yours and your neighbors put out flyers everywhere. I would put them in plastic cause it’s gonna rain for the next few days. Also hang in gas stations grocery stores give them to the mail people Amazon people they’re always driving around. Do you have a drone check with police and animal control in case your cat was turned in. You can set up a life trap with a mat in your cage and food and water and your garage door opened enough for the cat to get in . You can put out dirty kitty litter, but not the bin. Another animal will use it. You can go out with a flashlight at dusk or now and look under your decks, porches, take a flashlight look for eye shine look in bushes, trees, garages sheds under cars in garages and sheds are back of sheds. Also, have your neighbors do the same thing or ask if you can go and check at your neighbors house best of luck cats usually come outside between between 33 and 5 AM looking for food they usually don’t go to far and with the rain I would definitely think he or she is hiding

Try Going out late at night ie midnight and again early am ie 5 or 6 am with their smelly food and treats. Shake treat bag and call out their name. Take a flashlight and check under porches and bushes. Also if you can leave a basement window and garage door open so they can get in. Do for multiple days if needed. Good luck. Kitties don’t usually go far from home

Michele Grisco well sitting there and waiting for the cat to come back should be your last option. I would be out there with people combing the neighborhood day and night. I’ll take off of work. I don’t give a . My cat is my family. I think people gotta start hitting the beat and going out on foot looking through the bushes and throughout the neighborhoods.

Michele Grisco yeah but a number of people who have got their cat back they leave the stuff out there so the cat can find his normal smell and find a way back home. That’s really all it’s for, it’s so the cat can locate. It’s familiar smell and lure it back to the house if it is lost, but I would tell them to just get as many people as you can and start walking around the neighborhood house by house yard by yard and check all the bushes and start calling the cats’s name.
