Gray with white feet stripes on legs and back but not typical tortoise shell..friendly ..male ..crying a lot so appears to have been someone’s pet and lonely. Husband is allergic so cannot keep! Have been feeding it outside and providing water.

The cat could be a neighbor’s indoor/outdoor cat. If you take the cat to any vet or shelter, they can scan for a microchip at no cost to you. Post large, easily read flyers with the cat's picture. Place a found ad on nextdoor.com. Ask for proof of ownership. BTW, if you can't find the owner, Purina makes Live Clear, which reduces the allergens and makes it possible for cat owners with allergies to live with a cat.
