Message from Owner

Our boy Jasper went missing near our home. We let him outside frequently and he typically stays out in the backyard for an hour or so. He hasn't been home for a full day and we are worried. He should be wearing his collar still, please contact us if you find him.

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up. Check Toronto Animal Services lost and found and strays. Report your cat missing and send a photo

Shared. If you have not already done all these things, do them NOW. If you have, do them again and go further in your search. Notify Toronto Animal Services and check their website for found cats. If he is an intact male he may have chased females in heat and have trouble finding his way back home. Leave his used used litter and some food and water in hidden places near the door he left NOW and check Very late this evening and in the morning. See Pawboost for more ways to find and sample posters. Alert local feral cat feeders who may spot him searching for food. Put a notice in nearby neighbours mailboxes, post on local notices boards, in community centres, churches and schools. Go out after dark bring food and treats, search a 5+ block radius, stop periodically and softly call but do not make any loud noises or sudden moves. Lost cats are terrified and do not recognize their owner as safe. Reply
