Message from Owner

Please please help us find our cat. He showed up 10 years ago and adopted our family. He kind of rules this hse. He shows up at the door right on time for dinner. He guards us well; I’ve even seen him scare a fox away. He has become an emotional support animal for each person in the hse. I am just sick thinking what could have happened to him. He is microchipped but he has no collar.

🙏🙏🙏....Immediately file a missing animal report to (Pet Recovery services) on Facebook . They specialize in animal tracking and helped me find mine in less than two days after I texted them. Give them a try hopefully, they can assist you in getting your pet back as soon as possible.https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61564462251900&mibextid=ZbWKwL

Info for lost indoor only cats….. Be wary of people who will tell you they found your cat, but you have to message them on FB or text a code to a certain phone number. These are scams. A person who truly found your cat will not put conditions on you except maybe to show them proof of ownership, like pictures. Also, people will tell you how they used a recovery/search agency to find their pet. Also, a scam to take your money. Most of those services are not even in the TriState. Exception is, Reaves Recovery and Rescue. They are here in Cincinnati area, but do charge a fee since they are a business. There is also Lost Pet Recovery out of Columbus with volunteers here in TriState. Make lots of flyers to pass out to all your neighbors. Ask them to check their security cameras and keep watch for your cat moving through their yard at night by way of the cameras. Make bright posters to put up all around the area. You want to keep your cat in the area near your house, so put out an article of clothing/blanket that has your scent & your cat’s scent on it. Put out dry food & water on a covered porch. If you do not have a covered porch then turn a large Tupperware bin on its side to put the food & water inside. You can make a lost cat report at Cincinnati Animal CARE or your local animal shelters. This article has great tips to help you with your search and for understanding lost cat behavior. Article says they do not go far typically, but don’t discount reported, found cats that are miles away. Unfortunately humans sometimes relocate them. Hope you find your kitty! https://thecreativecat.net/indoor-cat-got-door/
