Home Safe ❤️🐾 My lil man is HOME SAFE! ❤️😭 Thank you so much to everyone who shared his post, kept an eye out, reached out, and helped bring him home. I truly appreciate every single person who supported us and made an effort to help. 🙏❤️ But please be careful! There are scammers preying on people who have lost their pets. They are using a very specific story to make people panic and send money or gift cards. The scammers are claiming that their boyfriend has your pet, that he has your pet locked in a room, and that he is planning to sell your pet. They then say that the woman is pregnant and scared and needs your help. They may also ask you to send an Xbox/game card so they can supposedly distract their kids while they sneak your pet out. Another BIG red flag: If you try to call the number they contacted you from, they will not answer. They will tell you that their phone is broken or that they cannot receive calls and that they can only text. Please be very suspicious of anyone who refuses to speak with you or meet you in person. This is the same scam they tried on us when my son lost his cat. They used the same story and claimed that they had my lil man. Thankfully, my lil man was returned to me the night before these scammers contacted me, so I knew they were lying. Please, DO NOT send anyone money, gift cards, Xbox cards, or any other type of payment online because they claim to have your lost pet. Ask for proof and insist on meeting in person and seeing your pet before giving anyone anything. If they truly have your pet, they should be willing to provide legitimate proof and meet safely. Please share this so other families searching for their beloved pets don’t fall victim to these scammers. They are taking advantage of people who are already scared, heartbroken, and desperate to get their pets home. Please stay safe, be careful, and don’t let anyone pressure you into sending money! ❤️🐾 And once again, THANK YOU to everyone who helped bring my lil man home! We are beyond grateful. 🥹❤️🐾
