Species: Budgerigar (Parakeet) Body Color: Soft pastel blue / light sky blue on his chest and belly. Head & Face: White head and face markings with striking purple cheek patches. Beak & Cere: Yellowish horn-colored beak with a very distinct solid royal blue cere (the fleshy part above the beak). Distinctive Look: He is a small pet bird with clear black-and-white barring/scalloping on the back of his head and wings (typical of standard budgie patterns, though his head is mostly white).

My beloved pet budgie, Sky, flew away near my apmt and has been missing since yesterday. Sky is a small pet budgie and may be scared, quiet, and hiding in a tree, bush, rooftop, balcony, or yard. If you have seen Sky or found a budgie recently, please send me a message as soon as possible. Even a possible sighting could help me find her. Please keep an eye out and check around your property if you can. Thank you so much for your time and kindness. I truly appreciate any help.

I just saw this lil guy in silverlake area. His head doesn’t look all white has more small black striping. I couldn’t catch him but if you need more info on sighting dm me. Hope you find your buddy soon!

Here are some ideas to assist in your search. *Create a post on Pawboost, NextDoor & Ring, if you haven’t already. *During the daytime: use a wireless Bluetooth speaker to broadcast flock calls or your voice, shake treat bags or anything that might attract attention to food, put the cage out where it can be seen. *During the evening when searching is over, design & print off flyers with photo & contact information. These can be encased in a ziplock to keep weatherproof & posted in areas where allowed like parks, poles & any nearby gathering areas. Also drop off some at vet clinics, pet supply stores, anything within a 5 mile radius. Contact local shelters/rescues & even the police dept - they do pick up found/stray pets all the time. Make sure the world knows - neighbors esp ones that have bird feeders/baths/pools. Hand them out while searching the area. Join every local social media group there is. Run an ad in your local newspaper - some run one for free in lost & found (or cheap). Also check with local bird watcher groups - they’re always out & about. Flyers cannot be placed in mailboxes. *PLEASE CHECK WITH LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTERS & FILE A MISSING PET REPORT*
