Description

Rupert is a beautiful Bengal cat with distinctive dark brown and black rosettes and stripes across his golden-brown coat. He has striking green eyes, a pink nose, a white chin and a cream-coloured tummy, with a long, tail. His coat is a little darker at this time of year, so he may look slightly different from the photograph. He has very distinctive Bengal markings and an exotic appearance.

🚨‼️MISSING CAT – BLACKLEY / CHARLESTOWN AREA, MANCHESTER‼️🚨 Rupert has been missing since Thursday 15th October, and I’m getting increasingly worried about him. Rupert is my much-loved 13-year-old Bengal cat. He’s an indoor hse cat and isn’t used to being outside, so I’m really concerned that he may be frightened and hiding somewhere. AREA: Blackley / Charlestown, Manchester MISSING SINCE: Thursday 15th October LAST SIGHTING: Thursday evening at around 8.30pm. 🐾 A LITTLE ABOUT RUPERT: 🐱 13-year-old Bengal 🏠 Indoor hse cat 💙 Neutered ✅ Microchipped ❌ No collar PLEASE, PLEASE CHECK YOUR SHEDS, GARAGES AND GARDENS! The vets have advised me that Rupert is likely to be hiding very close by. He may have squeezed himself into a small space and could be too frightened to come out or respond when called. Please could you check Sheds and garages Underneath decking Behind bins and in bushes Outbuildings and greenhouses Under garden furniture Any small spaces where a frightened cat could hide Any cctv or door cam footage I’m becoming really worried as there have been no sightings since Thursday evening. I just want my boy home safely. If you’ve seen Rupert, think you may have spotted him, or have any information at all, please message me. Even the smallest bit of information could help. ❤️🙏 PLEASE SHARE THIS POST across local groups in Blackley, Charlestown and the surrounding areas. Someone may have seen him without realising he’s missing. Thank you so much to everyone who has been looking out for him and sharing my posts. I really appreciate every bit of help. 💔🐾 PLEASE HELP ME GET RUPERT HOME. I MISS HIM SO MUCH. 🐾💔

He’s still missing and there haven’t been any sightings since Thursday. I’ve been knocking on doors, searching the area and putting leaflets through people’s doors, but unfortunately nothing concrete so far. Just keeping everything crossed that he’s found or makes his way home soon. 🙏🤞 x

Please ignore the bits that don't apply Putting notes through the neighbours doors is good as not everyone is on social media. Checkany cctv that's around. Ask them to open their sheds and garages for a while to allow a frightened cat time to escape. Check all gardens and water butts. Tip the contents of your vacuum cleaner outside to scent your area. Do not put used cat litter outside as it attracts other cats and this can put your cat off from returning Go out at night when it's quieter rattling food and listen for miaawing. Take a torch with you as the beam will reflect the cat's eyes. If no result widen your food rattling area and put posters up. If he/she's not neutered he/she will be out after a queen on heat or waiting for any available Tom. If this is so, please, for the sake of his/her health and safety do the right thing. Alert your old neighbours if you have moved as cats often try to return home. They need to be kept in for at least a month after a house move so that they realise they have a new home Post on your local Nextdoor app too www.next-door.co.uk If he's not neutered you need to widen your search to possibly 5 miles. He's at risk of catching FiV, territory fights and crossing busy roads. Unneutered females are usually pregnant when found. Ask your postman/woman to keep an eye out
