Put dirty socks outside to hang up on your porch, the scent will send to your cat to smell the way back.

Did you use a flashlight to search really well under all sheds, decks etc. as indoor kitties often hide there when they escape. Check all neighbours sheds and garages in case he got locked in by mistake, our boy did! Also go door to door and put up posters everywhere, they really work, call 311 to make a lost cat report and check at the SPCA and Bide Awhile. Is he chipped? Good luck!
