Debbie Meiritz thankfully you did. A lot of people assume outdoor cats are stray especially those that aren’t microchipped.

I have no idea.. I don't live there. I just walk the neighbourhood for my morning walks and Ive come to get to know many of the cats who live in the area or who they belong to

Debbie Meiritz how did the cat end up in a lobby? Cats should be indoors only to avoid incidents like this or worse.

His name is EMBER!! He lives on Lynwood Dr. ( 47 Lynwood I believe. The house with the giant storage container in the driveway). I thought he was a stray and had planned to take him in a few weeks ago, after watching him for a few days down in the watershed. I came across the owners and they have cats that they let out during the day and bring in at night. Ember is one of them. Ive contacted his owner via his FB to let him know where Ember is but haven't heard anything back yet. I also contacted the person who found him and gave her the contact info and address of the owner. Hopefully Ember gets back home soon.

Good thing you were able to secure the cat before he left the building. Likely the family doesn't yet know he slipped through their door

Did you poar signs where you found the cat indicating you took the cat? Unless a cat is in distress, leave it alone. Do not feed it. It will go home by itself.
