What steps have you taken to find the owner have you submitted a found pet report to the local shelter because that's where the owner would look. Has the dog been scanned for a microchip? Please don't just give the dog away. Go through a rescue group. Thank you for taking care of it.

Thank you for helping this sweet baby! I am more than happy to take him in if you are unable to continue caring for him. I have a golden retriever myself, so as long as he is friendly with other dogs, I’d love to help!

Please take this handsome fella to a vet and get scanned for a chip. If no luck there, check Pawboost LOST listings. Please do not give this dog to just anyone. There are very bad people out there with unkind intentions toward dogs, no matter what they tell you. Best case, keep the dog. Next, send him home with a very close, trusted friend. Else, find a rescue for the breed. And finally, surrender to Animal Care & Services. I mention Animal Care & Services last as they are overwhelmed and it gives me the shakes to think of any animal that has to go there. But, they are best equipped (other than breed rescues) to screen potential adopters. Thank you for caring for this sweetie meanwhile.
