Message from Finder

Cat was screaming outside our back door. It had fleas so I couldn’t bring it in. But it’s sleeping on our porch. If it’s still there in the morning we will try to borrow a crate and catch it. Seems to be very healthy weight and super affectionate.

Maryann Fields The cat you are seeing belongs to Anne Thompson & Associates INC and his name is Lovey. We Are an interior design firm located at 2050 N Brentwood Circle. Lovey is a feral cat that came to us from Chiefland and he has been living on our property for 7 years. You will notice that his ear has been clipped on the top, that is from animal control catching him, neutering him, and releasing him. They clip the ear so that he will not be re-captured. Lovey is an outdoors cat and will not stay inside, he tends to roam the neighborhood at night and comes home to eat and rest. Lovey is up to date on all of his shots, and is on veterinarian prescribed flea, tick, and heartworm medications which he gets every month. I can assure you he has no fleas, possibly you are seeing him roll around on his back on the floor, he does that when he is happy, he loves everything, that is why his name is lovey. You will also notice his beautiful white coat and his ears are clean, he gets brushed regularly as well as his ears cleaned. Lovey is seen regularly at Countryside Animal Clinic and has been for many years. Lovey is known around the neighborhood and many of our friends and neighbors talk about seeing him and enjoying his company. Our biggest fear used to be that the coyotes would get him but for 7 years now he has managed to make it home every morning. Now with all of the development and growth our biggest worry is human contact, we are afraid someone is going to take him. If he doesn't come home in the morning we will be heartbroken. Please dont trap Lovey or take him inside, he is very much loved and very well taken care of. Please do enjoy his company but say goodnight and let him go on his way, we are waiting for him. Please contact our office or stop by. 352-746-4015
