Laura Hampton Vandiver The only problem with putting the litter box out, is that it will also attract predators. Socks from the laundry are the best scent markers. Place them in a safe location, away from traffic and call in a calm voice. Cats can pick up on stress.

Thank you all so much! We put the litter box out yesterday and some of his favorite things. I fear it was too late. There were sightings in the neighborhood but we have been unable to track him down. We are so worried and upset about it. 😩
