Message from Finder

I'm not from the area. I saw a live, walking, uninjured tiny cat , at the grass line of Highway 169 North and 262nd,on the right hand side, on the dead end road. I called 911 and the operator sd they don't have resources to get a cat, but if it was a dog she could. I posted in a few Facebook groups.

Deb Geyen Borisevich it's on Highway it was, on Highway 169 North heading from the Twin Cities to Brainerd. It was on 262nd street, it's very rural there. I debated on getting out of my car, frightening the cat, it runs into the highway and then gets killed and I would probably get squished as well. I am a cat lover, do not misunderstand my wanting to help this cat. I was beside myself, calling 911 asking for any sort of assistance. They said they don't help with stray cats, but they would help if it was a stray dog. I gave a little bit more information in response to somebody's comment below. Some of my friends said that when they are in rural areas, this kind of thing happens a lot, cats are able to roam free, especially near farms. Because I saw it walking away from the busy intersection, I did let it be. Believe me, that was very hard for me to do. If there was some sort of rescue in the area, I certainly would have picked it up, somehow, and gotten it into my car safely somehow. I know that sounds like wishful thinking. But like I said many people have told me that rural areas treat cats differently.

Buddy Becker hi, my apologies. I when I contacted 911 to ask for assistance with this tiny cat, she said there was no assistance available. I said it is going to get run over because it's right at the edge of the highway where the grass meets. Again, she offered no alternative place for me to call. She said nobody in their county is equipped with stray cats. I find that very crazy. I'm from the Twin cities, and there's always someone to call or to get help. I watched the cat for about 12 minutes, and it eventually walked down the road of 262nd street. That is the street that crosses Highway 169 North , in apparently, Dailey township.
