I know there are stories of finding missing pets years after they go missing. But extremely rare. Either the dog disappeared and passed away somewhere or somebody took it in and didn't bother to take it to see if it was chipped. Those chips are a waste unless someone takes the dog in. They need to insert a GPS tracker under the skin just like Life 360 You can track your pet right to where they are!!!
