You need to create a scent trail back to your home for her. Put out her favorite bedding, toy, litter box cleaned out or not, preferably all in a fenced yard or in the garage with the door up just enough for her to get in. Also put a used pillowcase of the owner and some of the owners old shoes as well. She’s probably afraid she’s not far. She’s hiding during the day and she will come out under darkness cause cats are nocturnal.
