Dawn Lipinski Krahn , I volunteer at Madacc and this is most likely the only pic they have at the shelter. When taking pics of 12,000 animals a year, there's no time to be updating photos. Plus this is an intake pic. I will tell you also that animals come in malnourished all the time, disgusting but true.

Yes whoever let her get like that deserves the same karma my dogs would eat before me and i pray she found a great loving home and i think she would have to go to foster first to get her weight back before being adapted but i could be wrong but i hope and pray she found a great home

I found a dog tied to a tree roughly 3 weeks ago. When I was checking on him on madaccs website before his stray hold was up, this dog was listed on their site. Check with them.

Melissa Heyn I think the owner of this dog adopted it from madacc I don't think this is it's current condition because the picture was taken from madacc website when she was up for adoption might just be only picture they have of her rn

Hii not sure if you have experience with malnourished dogs or shelter life; but to throw some information at you. It’s not the shelter adopting out “such a malnourished dog.” These things take so much time to fix and “fattening” a dog up quickly is also very dangerous and can hurt the malnourished dog. On top of that; shelter life is so stressful. The faster they are out the better. If new adopter doesn’t see she clearly has ongoing medical conditions which even if they weren’t disclosed it’s very clear what some of them are.. it’s doubtful they didn’t give information on how to care and treat this dog. The only way dogs get kept in the shelter typically due to health is when they get kennel cough(or any other sickness) for at least 2 week treatment and hold.

That dog looks starved, skin and bone. Those people should be ashamed of their self -they should be in put in jail in charge with a felony for abuse.
