Message from Owner

This sweet girl has been with us for over a year and is only recently gone missing just before the thunder storm last week. She followed my husband and our dog when they went for a walk and hasn't been seen since. (They walked to the property next to us, and she knows her way home!) Please check your sheds or up in the trees as she may have bolted. Minter Vet Clinic has her records and it she is checked for a chip they'll recognize her!

Danielle DeMott Hi Danielle. Thanks for pinging me. No, Mele hasn't shown back up and we are losing hope. What cross street are you on? Are you on the Key Peninsula? That might (?) be Mele but it is hard to say.

Ashley, thank you so much for posting. I saw a cat right where you said and am so glad it was NOT a corpse!! Sadly, that cat had 4 white legs and wanted NOTHING to do with me. (You're not my Mommy!! 😾) Our Mele has no white on her except her chin. I'll keep looking, and in the mean time, come on FB power! Find Miss Mele!

Put out some things that smells like their favorite or familiar people. Do not use a litter box as this may be a beacon to predators as much as the kitty. Don't forget to change out the articles of things so the scent is refreshed. Ask your immediate neighbors and surrounding streets by 5 to 10 miles out to keep an eye out in garages, sheds, crawlspaces, porches, basements, and if possible under any places. Kitties can fit into some very small areas
