Description

Solid black, 8 month old rescue kitten with white patch on chest and two white whiskers. 6.6 lbs. UPDATE: Last sighted, evening of 8/16, at neighbor’s hse on Shenandoah Drive - was in a trap, but a safety latch failed & she escaped, sadly. She has been running between the decks (under the decks, actually) of the neighbors on each side of us. She is terrified of all humans right now. Please do not chase, rather contact me ASAP via PawBoost, or Facebook, and kindly put out food & water, to potentially keep her in the area.

Message from Owner

Tessa escaped off our screened-in balcony, and may be injured in the fall, but was running when we last saw her. She was scheduled for a spay at which time she would have been chipped & tattooed, so she has no identification to tie her back to us. We are absolutely sick about this. Please help us find our sweet girl! She’s very small & so scared 😿.

Alert local shelters and police. If not microchipped, ck shelters in person every day. Not found over phone. Even if chipped, ck shelters. Someone found their chipped cat at shelter. Put up laminated flyers all around social media, utility poles, vets, etc. w pic of pet Go out late night w flashlight and speak softly outside for a bit until cat feels safe to come out of hiding. Flashlight may catch the cats eyes and light them up. Set up trap w tuna, cats smell and your worn clothing. Post on “Nextdoor” (so many cat reunite on nextdoor) and for “The Love of Louie”. Cats won’t come to you, they depend on you to find them. Scroll thru this site daily. Someone just found theirs by sleeping outside on their porch w flashlight on their face. They had food w them also. You are the best person to get kitty back. CHECK SHELTERS OFTEN! THEY DON’T KEEP LONG. Ck craigslist daily for any FOUND cats in your area. Traps really work. Keep older cat inside. They get lost. Play sound of kitties crying and cat may come out of hiding. Put a live trap out by the door, and leave the garage door open about 6-8" with cat food in it. To trap cat: A rescue bought a rotisserie chicken from Kroger and shredded some with some juice and got it in the first try in a trap. They don’t go far from home because they are scared and come out at night time, when quiet. If you use a trap, monitor frequently & also put a blanket in it with your scent. Keep checking this site daily for at least a year. Best place to post is Nextdoor (a lot reunited on there) and “For the Love of Louie *Michigan Lost Pet Lookers*’s Post.

Check local shelter in person asap & every other day. They are not found over the phone. CHECK PETFINDER DAILY IN ABOUT A WEEK OR MORE AFTER MISSING DAY TO SEE IF UP FOR ADOPTION. PLEASE KEEP CKING SHELTERS IN PERSON. NOT JUST CALLING. EVEN IF CHIPPED, CHECK SHELTER ALSO. SOMEONE CHIPPED PET WAS FOUND AT A SHELTER. CHIP DID NOT SHOW UP WHEN SCANNED.

Cook chicken on the grill. Put catnip outside. Play YouTube videos of kittens crying and shine a laser cat toy around the bushes.
