Message from Owner

We are desperately searching for our indoor only cat Thor. He is very shy and timid. He even hides inside when we have visitors. He is extremely attached to my daughter and she is beside herself. He got out late Friday night when our door was unexpectedly left open. He is well fed and a little on the heavy side weighing right around 20 lbs. We rescued him in 2020 and his ear is clipped. He has never been outside since we adopted him. We are worried that he has been gone this long.

I will send a prayer that someone finds your cat. My cat hopped out of my car on September 5 and Frackville, Pennsylvania in the Cracker Barrel parking lot. My family was on its way moving to North Carolina. We stayed a very long time but my Runty never came back. I have not lost hope even though it is now October 20 people from Paw boost. Having a big help don’t give up I’m going to send a positive prayer.

If he’s an indoor cat who got out he’s most likely scared and hiding closer than you think - your yard or your neighbors. Look under sheds, decks, porches, steps, cars, in garages and shrubs. Cats are really good at hiding so you’ll need to be very thorough when looking for him. Here are additional suggestions

Since kitty is fixed and indoor only....probably hiding scared under something nearby or stuck in a garage or shed. Go outside any time right now and into the wee hours of the morning with a flashlight and look under things to see eyes glowing. Indoor fixed kitties rarely go far and are usually found hiding scared nearby. Look under everything...porches, decks, sheds, cars, bushes, etc. Look at night and into the wee hours of the morning with a flashlight to see eyes glowing. Ask/tell neighbors. Flyers =sightings. Consider using a humane trap ASAP. Please no litter box outside because it can attract predators and potentially keep your kitty from returning. Prayers for a safe return. If you're able you can also try leaving a door, garage door or window cracked open to let kitty come back in. A video doorbell or trail camera can be helpful to see if kitty is coming around when you're sleeping.
